My husband helped me try out this BERNY Minimalist Men's Stainless Steel Wrist Watch. He liked many things about it, especially the current low price that the watch sells for on Amazon. All the same, he did point out some negative aspects that kept him from giving this watch 5 stars. Focusing first on the positives, he was impressed with the appearance of the watch dial. We received the watch in the 2754M-A color option, which is the stainless steel watch with a black dial and silver-colored hands and hour markers. My husband found this dial very clean and uncluttered looking. Even the inclusion of a handy date calendar window at the 3 o'clock position didn't detract from the classic minimalist appearance of the dial. The contrast between the black dial and the silver hands make the time easy to read. The black dial color also offsets nicely against the stainless steel case and watch bracelet. The watch sets easily and has been keeping time well. The watch band has an interesting asymmetric pattern with 3 narrow right-side rows of links on the lower bracelet and the corresponding links on the left-side of the upper bracelet. The watch has an overall solid feel and doesn't appear like an inexpensive timepiece, although it is currently selling for a very affordable price.There are, however, some negatives that my husband noted about this watch. The first was the quality control of the packaging. Although the watch came wrapped in plastic and nicely boxed, there was a strange residue over the plastic protecting the watch inside the watch box. While it did not affect the watch, it was a bit gross and required my husband to wash his hands immediately after unwrapping the watch. Next, although the watch sets easily, there is some play in the setting mechanism so that the hands do not immediately respond when the crown is turned. The second hand also does not land squarely on the second/minute markers as it ticks around the dial. This, however, is a very common occurrence with even more expensive quartz watches. There is also no luminescence whatsoever so the watch is difficult to read in low light. Finally, the watch bracelet can only be properly resized with a bracelet adjustment tool, which is not included with the watch. Luckily, my husband had one and was able to adjust the size of this watch bracelet himself. If he didn't have one, he would have had to bring the watch into a watch or jewelry shop to have it resized. Overall, this is an attractive and well-working watch being sold at a great price point, but some negative aspects detract from it.This watch isn’t sold as a vintage-inspired design, but it struck me that way as soon as I opened the box. I’m not sure if it’s the unique bracelet design or the pointed hash marks on the black, unadorned face but it has the vibe of a watch your dad gave you from his workdays. And don’t read me wrong, this is a good thing. Design aside, this is a great dress watch with a medium-sized face and a thin bezel that slides easily beneath your buttoned dress shirt cuff. The timepiece gives your time, date, and a sweep second hand and none of the other dials that you probably don’t care about during your next Zoom meeting. The price is right, and the quality is good. I think you’ll like this as much as I do.
