Thick and heavy and the mesh band was awkward. I was disappointed and I returned it.It’s heave and clumsy looking. This watch is quite affordable, and looks much more expensive, The dial is large enough for those who might need reading glasses to see the time. It is indeed quite luminous, even during the middle of the night. The band is a bit tricky to engage, but holds securely. I was a bit surprised that the packing materials were quite limited (just the normal Amazon padded envelope, but the watch came through in fine working condition. You never know what to expect when you order a watch from an unfamiliar brand. I've had quite a few nightmare experiences but this ultra thin luminous watch from READ is definitely not one of them. I expected to receive a fairly pedestrian lower end sports watch but got something much better. This watch is very unique with a distinct personality of its own. It's a bit bigger than I expected but in a good way--it looks really substantial. It's also extremely thin and generally low key. It's not easy to simultaneously be substantial and attention grabbing *and* minimalist and low key but somehow it pulls it off. The luminous numbers are a nice touch allowing you to see the time in the dark. The watch came with two bands--the steel mesh band shown in the product description and a rubber/silicon band. The steel mesh band looks great and is very comfortable to the point that I often forget I have it on. I have quite a few watches and since I've received this watch they've all gone unworn--this watch looks good in every situation and with whatever you're wearing. It's also an attention getter--I've had at least a dozen compliments on it and haven't really been anywhere except running general errands around town. It's even water resistant. It remains to be seen how it holds up in the long term but for now it's great. Highly recommended! The Product Page advertises this watch as "Ultra Thin". Sorry, but I would not call this Ultra Thin. It's not the thickest watch I own, but calling it Thin is a bit of a stretch. And I had real problems with the bands. The watch comes with two bands - a Metal Mesh Band, which is pre-attached, and a Plastic (or is it Rubber -- let's call it rubbery plastic) alternate Band. The Mesh Band has a clasp that is a nightmare to fasten. I spent close to three-quarters of an hour trying to get it to close, and eventually had to give up. It fastens quickly and easily if it's not around your wrist, but trying to close it while you're putting it on just didn't work for me.The extra band has the more traditional clasp, with a prong and holes. Great. And there is a tool included to help you change the Band - even better. Except there are no instructions included for changing the Band, and I tried to remove the Mesh Band using the tool for nearly fifteen minutes before I gave up. I guess I will have to bring it in to a jeweler to change the Band for me. That is, if I decide to keep it. I don't like Watches that do not keep good time, and this one lost about four minutes over three days. After trying to latch one band unsuccessfully and then trying to exchange the bands unsuccessfully and the poor timekeeping performance of this watch, I'm afraid I cannot recommend this item very highly. My Rating is Three Stars, and that's based on the fact that it does have a nice appearance, which is the only good thing I can say about it.The glow-in-the-dark hands of this watch were what drew me toward it. I am a bit of a watch collector and I like my watches to have luminous hands so I can see what time it is if I wake up in the dark. Some watches have hands that glow but only for a few minutes so I was really checking to see how long this watch's luminosity would last. I'm happy to report the hands are visible overnight. The glow lasts for a long time and I can read this watch even in the early hours of the morning.Aside from the glow, the rest of this watch is also very nice. It comes with 2 bands (metal and silicon) and a little tool to change them with. The metal band is comfortable and feels nice. I also really like the Arabic numerals at 12,3,6, and 9. Overall this is a stylish watch that looks good and also performs.I highly recommend these watches for men. They are fashionable and elegant, yet casual enough for everyday wear. The stainless steel construction makes them durable and water-resistant, while the luminous hands and dials ensure that you can always tell the time, even in the dark. I love the minimalist design, which makes them ultra-thin and lightweight. The quartz analog movement is precise and reliable. Additionally, the adjustable strap ensures a perfect fit. These watches are definitely my new favorite accessories! This watch is straight up gorgeous. It is easy to wear regardless of your watch size with no need to resize it as the mesh easily adjust and fastens tightly. The only downside is the included instructions are dominant in another language with the English version in the smallest print possible. Other than that the watch is fabulous.
